David Alex, Administrative Chief, Division C

Mr. Alex, who joined the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office in 1997, is the Administrative Chief of Division C which includes Specialized Crime, Organized Crime and the Gang Unit at the DA’s Office.  He supervises a total of 22 attorneys, 11 investigators and two support staff.  A native of Beaumont, Texas, Mr. Alex has been practicing law for 10 years and in 2006 he was recognized as Prosecutor of the Year by the DA’s Office.    Mr. Alex earned a Juris Doctorate from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.  He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas District and County Attorneys Association (TDCAA).
