John Grau, Chief, Intake/Grand Jury Division

Mr. Grau is the Chief Attorney for the Intake/Grand Jury Division at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.  He manages 12 attorneys, one investigator and 17 support staff.  He has been at the DA’s Office since he began his career as an attorney in 1986 and he specializes in criminal law.  The Shreveport, Louisiana, native earned a Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (renamed in 1999 to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette).  Mr. Grau is a member of the Texas District and County Attorneys Association and the Dallas Bar Association.
