Joe Lockhart, Chief, Appellate Division

Mr. Lockhart, who joined the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office in 2007 as Chief of the Appellate Division, oversees 26 attorneys, one investigator and three support staff.  He has been practicing law for 40 years and specializes in criminal appeals.  The San Antonio, Texas, native earned Juris Doctorate and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.  Mr. Lockhart is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas District and County Attorneys Association.
