Damita Jo Sangermano, Administrative Chief, Intake/ Grand Jury Divisions
Ms. Sangermano, who has been with the Dallas County District Attorney’s
Office since 1990, is the Administrative Chief of the Intake and
Grand Jury Divisions. She manages 18 attorneys, two investigators
and 17 support staff. Ms. Sangermano has been practicing
law for 17 years and specializes in criminal law/prosecution. A
native of Jaffrey, New Hampshire and Dallas, Texas, Ms. Sangermano
earned a Juris Doctorate from the Southern Methodist University
School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Chaminade University
of Honolulu. In 2007, Ms. Sangermano was recognized and presented
with the Dallas County District Attorney’s “Above & Beyond” Award. Her
professional memberships include the Texas District and County
Attorneys Association, National District Attorneys Association,
State of Texas Bar Association, North Central Texas Council of
Governments, Law Enforcement Training Advisory Committee, Dallas
County Mental Health Steering Committee and the Dallas County Jail
Population Committee.
